Interpersonal Therapy:

Interpersonal therapy focuses on the connection between your personal relationships and your depression. IPT was originally developed to treat major depressive disorder. It’s also used effectively to treat eating disorders, drug and alcohol addiction, dysthymia, and other mood disorders including bipolar disorder.

The seven types of interpersonal skills that are needed to succeed in an environment are:

  • Verbal communication.
  • Non-verbal communication.
  • Listening skills.
  • Negotiation.
  • Problem-solving.
  • Decision-making.
  • Assertiveness.
